                               RESOLUTION NO.18919
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE USE OF THE
                   PROPERTY LOCATED AT 701 EAST FOURTH STREET
                   AS A SHELTER FOR HOMELESS WOMEN AND CHILDREN
                   TO BE USED IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE
                   CHATTANOOGA ROOM IN THE INN PROGRAM.
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
       	    	 WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 9192 rezoned the property located
       at 701 E. 4th Street from R-4 to C-3 subject to certain
       conditions, including that the property be used for a restaurant
       or offices only or other permitted use as deemed appropriate by
       the governing body of the City of Chattanooga; and
       	    	 WHEREAS, the Chattanooga Room In The Inn Program desires
       to use said property as a shelter for homeless women and 
children,
       which use the City Council deems to be an appropriate one;
       	    	 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
       THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That said Council deems
       appropriate the use of the property at 701 E. 4th Street as a
       shelter for homeless women and children.
